Farewell and Appreciation, Captain Dustin Gates

Captain Gates was promoted to Captain II several months back. He was assigned to the CERT Command for only 1.5 years, however he shall always be a legacy. As you embark on the next chapter of your remarkable career, we would like express sincere appreciation for your dedicated service with the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) CERT Unit!!!

Your role as the LAFD CERT Captain exemplified your passion for community engagement and volunteer work. Your dedication to the CERT program, which stands as a model for others worldwide, reflects your unwavering commitment to the betterment of our communities.

It has been an honor to have you as part of the LAFD CERT program, and your enthusiasm for advancing the program and working collaboratively with CERT members has left a positive mark. Your leadership, knowledge, and genuine care for the community have undoubtedly made a significant impact on all those you have worked with.

As you transition to new responsibilities, please know that your contributions to the LAFD and CERT program will be remembered and appreciated.
